Festival „Chacha“

3 rd – Annual Chacha Festival will be held in Telavi, Georgia
2 – 230 pm – Concert of Folk groups of the Kakheti region;
230 – 3 pm – Opening of the Festival
Irakli Shioshvili, acting State Representative of Kakheti Region, Mindia Davitadze, chairman of Sakpatenti
Of the LEPL national Georgian intellectual property centre,
David Okitashvili, President of Georgian Chamber of Culture and Honorary guests will open the Festival;
3 – 320 pm – award ceremony of chacha producers – peasants and enterprises with gold, silver and bronze medals, which were evaluated and identified
by a special jury in the following nominations – Best Peasant Chacha 2020 and Best Factory Chacha 2020;
320 – 4 20 pm – Ethnographical Exhibitions of all Kakhetian municipalities – Telavi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, Dedoplistskaro, Lagodekhi, Sighnaghi, Gurjaani and Sagarejo;
Traditional Chacha-making (distillation) process; Chacha making as peasant preserve the tradition, Khinkali and Mtsvadi – Georgian traditional dishes
(wrapping and roasting); Exhibition of Fall harvest – Kakhetian fruits and vegetables, Kakhetian sweets – Tatara and Churchkhela;
320 – 4 20 pm – Chacha producing companies at their ethnographical corners, Chacha tasting;
320 – 4 20 pm – Master-Class about Chacha, given by Zaza Grigalashvili, the Certified Sommelier of Georgian Sommelier Association and WSET
and George Kuchava, Cognac technologist, Doctor of Sciences.
320 – 4 20 pm – Presentation of Geoirgia’s Preserved and registered geographical definitions by Sakpatenti of the National Georgian intellectual property centre;
420 – 430 pm – Awarding the best municipality in 2020 in the category “Most Creative”
430 – 530 pm – Concert by Theatrical Quartet
