Tengiz Utmelidze, the People’s Artist of Georgia, Knight of the Order of Honor, “Knight of Georgian Culture,” and renowned soloist of the ensemble “Sukhishvili,” celebrated his anniversary on June 9, 2018, with a celebration held in the Philharmonic Hall.
The anniversary concert featured the following ensembles: “Sukhishvilibi”, “Rustavi”, the Abkhazian song and dance group, “Nartebi”, the South Ossetia song and dance group, the choreographic group “Imedi”, and the ballroom dancing class “Tela”. The event featured performances by Georgian vocalists Temur Tsiklauri, Irma Sokhadze, and Tamriko Chokhonelidze. A star honoring the Georgian artist’s name was unveiled at the conclusion of the jubilee evening in front of the Philharmonic’s large concert hall.
The Georgian Chamber of Culture organized the anniversary celebration with assistance from the “RMG Gold” firm and the city hall of Tbilisi Municipality.
