20th anniversary of the theater quartet

On November 3rd 2023, the anniversary evening dedicated to the 20-year stage performance of the “Theatrical Quartet” toke place held in Tbilisi Concert Hall; At the end of the evening, opened  star the “Theatrical Quartet’s”  on “Star Avenu” near the concert hall, organized by the Georgian Chamber of Culture.

 

“Theatrical Quartet” was created in 2003 at the Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli University of Theater and Cinema by the initiative of the students of the same university. Since then, “Theatrical Quartet” has enjoyed great popularity for 20 years and is an integral part of the incomparable performers of Georgian modern pop art. For 20 years, its composition has not changed: Koba Chefkhodze, Irakli Abzhandadze, Lasha Kervalidze and Otar Kovziridze.

 

The repertoire of “Theatrical Quartet” includes both Georgian and popular songs from variety of different countries, which are performed in the style of Georgian polyphony. Most of these songs were first polyphonically arranged and performed by the “Theatrical Quartet”.
